Medium changes and sea themes dominate Jennie's paintings, particularly of West Cornwall her first home. "If you have walked by the ocean everyday, for ever after you need its charge or you seek a similar energising force from wherever you are." An incurable romantic her subject matter is wide ranging, pursuing light effects, atmosphere, and a sense of time and place. The Cornish coastline and moorland, the wilds of Mid Somerset swathed in ancient themes and historic architecture, all serve to feed Jennie's passion to reach beyond pure depiction.
